Grieve. Remove. Repeat.

I’m currently embarking on my Google Drive Purge before my Google work account is torn from my hands and deported to Microsoft. (Is this one of the stages of grief?)

Open doc.
Move doc to appropriate folder or
Remove doc if it’s no longer (or was never) useful.

(Remove… is there a reason Google doesn’t call it “Delete” or “Trash”?)

This digital decluttering seems less painful to do while binge watching shows. Untitled documents are exciting… will it be empty? Have one sentence? Be a masterpiece I wrote alongside my students  but didn’t label?  Two evenings and I’m still only in the main Drive, not the folders.

But I digress (a working title for my memoir). All I really came to say was this:  I wonder if I’ll ever need this Google Slide again, an artifact from the Spring of Covid 2020 teaching online from home.
