FRIDAYS: a mini memoir

A very long time ago, I used to watch Mom watch Tommy Hunter. Until we heard about the Dukes of Hazzard. YEE HAH!

And I used to go shopping with mom while Dad slid across the ice shouting “Sweep!”

And it was always Popcorn Night.

And when I was past 16, we went to Youth or rented Videos.

And when I was past twenty and almost thirty, I came home to catch up on All My Shows from the week, on VHS then DVD, then PVR. And rewind or rewatch when I fell asleep.

And when I was barely forty, we traveled internationally for Burgers and Gin.

But now,
Sometimes,
Sometimes (but less often) I go out and celebrate another week of teaching the future minds of the world.
Sometimes I come home and exercise. (Unless I’m blaming Covid Round 2 recovery)
Sometimes I stay late and come home with pizza, but no work thoughts til Monday.
Sometimes I come home and clean the house so the rest of the weekend is Chore Free.
And Sometimes
I come home and enjoy an IPA with my gal Freya. Then figure out what I can throw in the Air Fryer, but save room for
Popcorn.

Then fall asleep
